Good show Mike, thanks for your continuing support of music, western-swing, and steel guitar.
I noticed that you included a song by Durwood Haddock. I worked with his brother Jerry Haddock on the Merl Lindsay Ozark Jubilee Band, touring out of Oklahoma City in 1963-64.
Once when the band had an appearance in El Paso we borrowed Durwood's car to cross the river into Mexico to "go shopping". When coming back the border guards saw Durwoods guitar and amp in the trunk and identified us as musicians. They did everthing but strip search us but finally let us pass.
I wondered why they thought musicians would be bringing anything illegal into the US? ![Rolling Eyes](images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif) _________________ "FROM THEN TIL' NOW" |

Gene,
Thanks so much buddy for the bump and the kind words. You are really appreciated.
WOW! Merl must have had an awesome Western Swing Band in those days. I sure wish that I had some sounds with quality that I could use on "Swingin' West." _________________ Mike |
