Hi all...

I know it's not pedal steel, but there may be players interested in slide on a Strat in dropped D tuning. A fellow player Jim Heidinger did a backing track which was uploaded to another forum. I then downloaded it and played the slide, then re-uploaded it again. You gotta love the internet.

It has no name yet!

Unnamed slide guitar piece

All the best,

Nice work. You play with your fingers? Were you using a volume pedal?

Thnaks guys.

Yes, I use my fingers, never a pick, and no, I don't use a volume pedal. If I need to get that effect, I just use the volume pot on the Strat.

This was my guitar into a Boss Overdrive pedal, then into an Alesis Microverb, then into my little Fender Eighty-Five amp (transistor) with an El Cheapo plastic computer mic delivering the sound into my computer.

Very low tech.

I have more tunes at http://bottleneckguitar.com and http://mp3.com/kirklorange if anyone's interested.

All the best,

Kirk
