The two adjustment screws on my 6 string guitar pickup have fallen out (well one fell out and I loosened the other too far so that it also came out). What is the best way to put them back in again? They each pass though a spring and then bottom out into a hole on a plate. I can get them through the spring but they don't seem to reach the all the way to hole below. I've tried holding the guitar upside down and screwing them in without any luck. Thanks, for any suggestions. stevet

Steve the easiest way I have found is to push the spring down and tie it with a piece of sewing thread then after you have the screw started in the hole you can pull the thread out.

Steve -

Try this. With the spring centered on the hole, use the pickup flange to steady the head of the screw as you apply a little pressure with the screwdriver. This should keep the screw centered and vertical to the hole. Using upward pressure on the pickup and some greater downward pressure on the screwdriver you should be able to steady the screw, lower the assembly to the hole while overcoming the spring pressure and then engage the screw threads. Might be a little tedious but it should work. The other screw should then be a piece of cake.
