Don't forget the club jam Tues, June 15, at the Bradenton Eagles. Skip and Blake will have a detailed follow up post (I hope).

Good to have you back, Phil. I'll see if I can find the chords to your song so two of us will sound like we know what we're doing. I might even write them out for Tom and Clyde.

Anybody else from the northern regions coming down tomorrow?

Well, the "no" pedalers got their revenge last night - not a single pedal steel in sight! Phil Bender, Tom Chaffin and Blake Hawkins provided the evening's entertainment. Tom played his usual tasty Dobro stylings, while Blake and Phil delighted the overflowing crowd (thanks for being there, Mildred) with all manner of rags, waltzes and creative backup to Mr. Murphy's vocal renditions of hits, old and new. Clyde Wiggins provided the always rock-solid bass lines in support of Tom's tasty rhythm guitar, leaving room for the occasional flurry of superfluous licks from myself. Even with the reduced attendance, everyone seemed to have a good time and a lot of good music was played. Phil will be gone next month so we're hoping for some other folks to come in and fill the void.
Thanks again to roadie (and crowd), Mildred - we appreciate you being there.

Can't let this go by without complimenting Skip for his fine lead guitar work.
He handled all the oddball songs we could throw at him and everything he did improved the songs.
Skip gets a really wide range of sound from his Tele.
Anything from soft jazz to those famous cutting tele licks.
Thanks, Skip

Blake: Skip ain't all that bad (really good), but what about those other guys in the back-up band? Guess you think they are just chopped liver! Oh well just keep bringing ROADIE #1 and we will cut you some slack!

July will be better!!
