Hi,

I am a novice trying to learn the best I can from the internet and what I figure out on my own. I've been trying to learn in C6 tuning, some walking harmonized scales to move me from I to IV to V to I, etc., I just can't seem to make it sound "country". When I move up the major scale to the IV, it just sounds too "scale"-y.

Does anyone have any ideas of how I could come up with these walks or begin thinking in a different way to come up with neat fills and turnarounds that have feel to them? Is there a good place to learn these at online or a book I could check out?

Thanks a lot, everyone! I'm super thankful for any insight you might offer,

Andy
