It was good to get back home again just like the John Denver song says. Roger took the time to work with new member Woody who is also new to the steel. Roger was surprised that he knew as much as he did. Said he had it in his head but not quite in his right hand. Roger, you should have told him to just grab a handful of those wires and go from there! It was good to have Tim McCutchen, Vance Monday back. Also in attendance was Virgil Pittman, Larry Garrett, Donnley Harrington, Bill Peabody, and Lynn Carney. Donnley, I'm going to have to get an updated list of members. I know there was one more there. Don Halsey is off due to some health issues. Get well soon, Don. Also Willard Mullins was absent due to the heat.
We're having our mini jam Saturday September the 27th from 5 till 9. Anyone wishing to play needs to contact Roger Osborn. We always have a good time putting these on. Everyone is welcome to participate. If time doesn't allow for you this jam, we're having another one in November. Will try and update later. |
