My vote is for more than anything in the world..! (even though that option isn't there ! )

I better retire to bed now, been up 21 hours and it's 0105 in the morning and I know I will be up at 5am finishing off decorating and stuff!

He still gets my vote for best all around steel guitar player in the world. Very Happy Tone, touch, speed, taste,Creativity, not to mention a fire in his playing only surpassed by Mr. Emmons in his prime.

Can you tell I dig his playing? Very Happy

I would love to see Tommy White at the Texas show. Not only that but give him an hour of playing time. I guess the bad thing is, he plays the Grand Ole Opry and it just does not allow him to travel. I have always enjoyed and just drooled at the playing of Weldon Myrick, but he played the Opry and never could travel and play steel shows as well. Even though he has retired I still have never saw him play a show. I know he has but I am not sure he has played the Texas show. Back to Tommy White, he may be the best steel picker today. If Tommy Whire ever gets to play the Texas show, I will do what I can to make sure that I am there.

A few short years back in the Nashville area Jeff Newman organized a jam with several players.
A friend of mine went to see it and I got chance to hear a tape of the jam.
Can you just imagine Paul Franklin and Tommy White on the same stage; well it did happen.
TW is pretty busy, just maybe he can take a break and come to Dallas; in may be a mission impossible, but maybe probable.
If you need to vote, I'll cast mine ........

On my annual trips to the States, a visit to the Opry is always a must to see Tommy play in person. He's a good guy and a wonderful player on both necks.

This clip has been around for ages, and comes from Tommy's E9 DVD where he gets to play some C6 at the end of the recording. More than anything it highlights how great an Emmons push pull sounds through a Webb amp - glorious!!
