Kris Kennedy might be destroying the Fan Fair in the
Convention Center and turning it into a big flea market but not the watering holes on Lower Broad in Nashville.
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the late night bands on Broadway are playing some great country music and their
places are full. Daytime bands seem to be mostly hard rock but when the real people come out at night, you have some great classic country on Lower Broad.
I saw Mike Jones with a great band at the Legends. I seen four other steel players at different venues and all were good. I wish I knew the names of the steel pickers I saw. One was Rusty Rhoades I believe. Another played several different venues. Played a double neck and a lot of C6th. Dang I really hated to leave and it was so great to get a little faith back concerning our classic country music. I fully agree with someone who said we should have a CCMA. Classic Country Music Association with a real Classic Country president rather than a rock promoter as president like the CMA has.
Four hours home and I'm thinking about turning around and driving back tomorrow just to catch Rhonda Vincent on Lower Broad on the ET Midnight Jamboree. You talk about old times...Dang The old Merchants Hotel even looks like it used to 40 years ago. It needs a face lift. Pickers all over Lower Broad playing with their cases open for tips. A 15 year old boy named Daniel was absolutely tearing up the electric guitar as he sat in at several different venues. Danny Clark and Luke played some Bluegrass with the fiddle and the ole 5 string. Always had a crowd around them. The biggest crowd gatherer on the street, though, was the naked cowboy. Some tall long haired model type dude with a guitar, cowboy hat, cowboy boots and nothing but a pair of tight white fruit of the looms on. Picture takers all over the place. Gals getting the chance to squeeze his buns and he in turn got his squeezes in. Dang, what a job he has. Smile

I thought that was what youse were railing against... That's "Classic Country"??

Rather than rebulding, the part of town you are talking about, where musicians seem to fall over eachother to play for free while Fabio in his FTLs cleans up, needs a renovation all right.

From something like a tornado..
