I used to like the way Dean Martin would
tug and pull at a song and this was his
theme from the Dean Martin TV Show what seems
like just a few years ago.
I miss this guy who was one of my favourite
entertainers. Hope it brings back some memories
and gets a few lap steels out of the case.

Nice version, Roy. Just had an animated discussion with my wife about the American Songbook--and songs that made us gag when we were kids. (Most of the songs I've been learning in C6 are pre-1960...)Don't miss Dean Martin's singing but your rendition cuts right through the schmaltz. _________________ ...but you are the music / while the music lasts (TS Eliot) |

Thanks you guys!
Good tune for hearing the effectiveness of the
Augmented (+) chord.
All the best.

OH YAA... I'm with you Roy...He was a great entertainer and a Smooth singer. He also was one of my favorite people... You did a great job as usual with this tune. Thanks for sharing Lee |

Your selection was a golden oldie and played with a soft, sweet, melodic touch.
Always enjoy hearing your latest contribution.
Thanks for sharing.
By the way, what equipment are you using. I've forgotten. |

THANKS to all!
Ray I used a D8 Gibson Consolette on that
and just about everything else I am recording
these days. No amp...I go direct to my Digital
recorder and then onto my hard drive.
Have a nice weekend everybody.

Great Tone and Execution. This is not an easy song to play if just thrown at you once a year or so. The Augmentive chords are what really makes the song ! |
