There have been a number of threads over the years about electronics on the National New Yorker and pre-New-Yorker Electric Hawaiians. I happened to have mine opened up today, and I thought I'd share some pics.

I had the pots replaced and added the 1/4" output jack on the butt end of the guitar The original phenolic jack is still in place, and it can be rewired if desired. Rick Aiello did a magnet recharge/supercharge of all of the pickups. He added 4 NiB magnets to each coil of the middle and neck pickups.

The pickups are set up as follows. There is a bridge pickup and two sets of pickups under the fretboard. The MASTER CONTROL is the master volume and the NATURAL/HAW. knob is the volume control for the bridge pickup. The FULL TREBLE knob controls the volume for the treble sides of the neck and middle pickup sets; the FULL BASS knob controls the volume for the bass sides of the neck and middle pickup sets.

Here's some pics of the original pots, the original guitar cable, and a nifty sticker on the case.
