The next SouthEast Texas Steel Guitar club meeting in Katy will be on Sunday June 6th at 2:30pm. The building will be open at 2pm for setup.
We will meet at Life Church which is located at 2610 Greenbusch Rd in Katy.

Featured Player:
Billy Phelps will be the featured player. There will be a teaching session.

There will be the usual jam. Also, feel free to bring play along tracks if you have them.

We want more steel players to be featured. If you only have 2-3 prepared songs. we can arrange for a short featured spot, just let us know.

Directions to the LIFE Church building are:
From I-10 W (Katy) :
Take the exit for Pin Oak Rd ( Katy Mills Mall - exit 741 I think? )
Take Pin Oak Rd. south ( 1/2 mile ) which turns into Greenbusch Rd
Take Greenbusch Rd. down to Life Church @ 2610 Greenbusch Rd. ( 1.5 miles on the right )
Park your car in the main parking lot & enter the church through the front door since we now have a mobile classroom at the back.

We are indeed lucky to have Billy Phelps among us. His musicianship is amazing! He's great on steel, bass, drums, guitar, and on vocals. Did I mention he's a great guy? Anyone close enough should drop in and enjoy the meeting/jam. Bring your instrument or just listen.

I'm not sure if I'm going to make it, but I'll try. I really enjoy seeing everyone and listening to everyone play, especially Billy. You never know what he's going to come up with. If he sings, you better listen closely to the words, he tends to change lyrics... Laughing

Well I'm going to have to miss another one. If I keep this up I won't make a meeting at all this year. I'm back at work and have to be at the store. I try to make the next one. Have a good one guys, I'm sure Billy will have some great stuff for you to learn.
