Almost certainly a Dynamic. He's holding one in the 1987 ("Very Greasy" album release) GUITAR PLAYER article. _________________ "Gopher, Everett?" |

Here's the same guitar from Mr. Lindley's web site:
Notice it's sitting on top of one of his Dumble amplifiers. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Awesome! Thanks guys! I've been wondering for a while now.
It has a really nice mournful sort of sound on that particular recording. I imagine that has a lot to do with the pedal technique tho.
If you watch the version of Running on Empty from that very same concert you see he plays his sweet Bakelite. It seemed to me that National had a similar sound tho -- at least in the solo. Maybe I'm not listening right. They both sound really nice. _________________ If Music Be the Food of Love, Play On. -Shakespeare

Sounds like he's using a wah pedal to get that mournful sound. I like it. |
