Does anyone have a recommendation for a size of tone bar for a 6 string lap? I have a Dunlop 920 which is 2-7/8" and it seems a bit too long. Is there a recommended length for a 6 string? Thanks.

Eric,

In my experience 2-7/8" is a pretty good place to start for a six string guitar. I think anything shorter or less than 3/4" diameter will be hard to hold onto. Try relaxing your hand a little more and avoid the tendency to pinch the bar. It takes a while to get comfortable with a bullet bar so make sure you practice every day so you can develop a feel for it. There are a number of folks on the forum that can make you a custom bar if you really think a short bar is needed, but I might give it a little more time.
