Hey everyone - I sit in on steel occasionally with this rocky little "americana" band from San Antonio called Rivertrain - tomorrow night we're opening for Charlie Robison (with Kim Deschamps on steel) at the Kendall County Fairgrounds in Boerne, TX. Kim is a great player, and those of you interested in the "no picks" approach should check him out. As far as my [limited] knowledge goes, he's one of the few if not only touring-level players to go "sans picks".
Fair warning: it's a little bit of a louder sorta rock-n-roll affair [I wouldn't want to be accused of misrepresenting this as a traditional country show!]...
