I just wanted to tell y'all what inspired me to play a Jackson Steel. I'd been playin' a GFI Ultra D-10 and I've always loved Sho-Bud steel guitars. Well, in June of '09, I had just finished my set at the GaSGA Peach Jam steel guitar show, and I met David and Harry Jackson for the first time, and they had a few Jackson Steels set up- a Madison '63, a Pro IV, an UltraLite, and a BlackJack. The Madison '63 caught my eye first and David asked me if I wanted to try it out. At first I was a little nervous, thinkin maybe my left hand wouldn't reach out very far to the E9th neck. Well, as soon as I played a few licks of "Crazy Arms" and San Antonio Rose", I was amazed by everything about Jackson Steels and decided a Jackson Steel was definitely in my future. So, I'm proud to say I'm the proud owner/player of a wonderful Jacson BlackJack Custom, and it's now my best guitar. All three Jacksons, David, Harry, and Dawn are wonderful friends and they build wonderful guitars!
