If anyone has an iphone and is interested in getting a new tuner for their phone TC Electronics is offering a free copy of their poly tuner for the iphone for free to the 1st 25k downloaders. I had already signed up to be alerted when it became available on the iphone.

If you are not aware of what the poly tuner is I'll add a link but essentially it's a tuner that will tune all 6 strings of your guitar at one time or at least show which ones need tuned. They released it a few months ago in the stompbox form for over 100 bucks I believe and now it's been ported over to the iphone.

You can use it in the traditional way tuning 1 string at a time or their new way of strumming all 6 strings at a time with a read out letting you know which strings need tuned either f,lat or sharp.

I must tell you all that I am a devout user of the Peterson strobosoft, strobostomp tuners and I don't think this tuner will ever take the place of my strobo tuners but it is free and it's kind of fun to play with and I believe they advertise that their tuner is accurate within 0.01 cent as is the Peterson but I didn't feel that the poly version was all that accurate and the poly version seemed to jump around a bit for me but your mileage may vary.

Check it out here and I hope you get a free copy as I did http://www.tcelectronic.com/polytune.asp
