I am looking at a peavey classic 50 with 4 10's that a friend has. Aside from the weight is there anything to look for in these amps. It sound good and I would leave it in a permanent location so the weights not an issue.

thanks
Ken

Hi Ken,

I've used one for the past decade for six string, and my only complaint is the weight. Not so well suited for PSG in my experience, though. I've heard of people replacing the peavey logo with fender-suddenly the tone compliments start rolling in.

One observation...the 4x10 configuration seems to
create a sweet spot some feet away from the combo...
a Super Reverb or a Peavey Classic driven into sweet
singing might sound great, but when You close-mike
one of those 10´s,You end up w/ a thinner sound.McUtsi
