Jim's got the right idea about making the steel guitar revert from an 'unknown' to a 'Known'. The secret is "lets talk". It's show and tell time. It works.Way to go James and thanks b0b for the article.

Also a nice three paragraph write up on Jim and the upcoming show in the current issue (July 2010, p. 16) of Vintage Guitar Magazine.

The instrument is very easy to promote. Seriously- anyone with just a little bit of experience with the instrument can create the most beautiful sounds- I have seriously never had anyone come into the shop not knowing much about the instrument and leave without being impressed at how beautiful it can be- and if it's a rocker and "pretty" doesn't cut it- turn on the distortion and connect with them that way. It's just music and the steel guitar is simply amazing at making it.

To heap on some more praise- Every time that I drive down to Oceanside from LA to see Jim, it recharges my battery and renews my love of the steel guitar. I always learn a little something and meet someone that pushes my playing. Jim's amazing!
