I have a good friend/bandmate and his wife in the Dallas/FW area this week/end and they would like to check out a good band. Anyone gigging or can recommend some things for them to do?

Hi, Chris ...
I know that Junior Knight will be at Pearl's in the Ft. Worth Stockyards tonight (Tuesday) and I can check with him, if you like, to see if he'll be playing anywhere else in DFW during the Wed-Sat time frame you're speaking of. He's always a treat to go and listen to and his band does a really wonderful job. Smile

Thanks, Jim! If you could ask him if he's playing there later in the week, that would be great.

I've already left a voice mail for him, Chris ... just waiting for the return call. If Junior is playing somewhere in the metroplex this weekend and they go to see him, they'll definitely not be disappointed. Very Happy

Hi Chris, haven't heard back from Junior yet, but there's some really good suggestions coming in. Smile

Excellent, guys! I'll pass on the venues, times and locations. If a guy from Newfoundland introduces himself to you at the gig, it's the lead singer of our country band. He's harmless. Smile

Jody Nix is booked nearly every weekend. Since Junior has that chair, safe to say this is where you'll find him.... If you wanted to drive the 4+hr to Big Spring on Friday, it would be a heck of a show as Jake Hooker is also on the bill...

Turns out Larry's flight has been delayed two days due to fog, and he has decided to divert to a resort. Thanks everyone for letting me know about the gigs. He is disappointed, but it wouldn't be worth his while to fly nine hours for three days.
