Soon to be finished. Here is a pix of the body before Mike Weenick puts the mechanics on my steel.
Don
Pictures soon to follow of the complete steel.
The changer is also a new design Mike and I came up with.
What is so neat about the Tiger striping is it looks like a hollogram facing.
As you move from side to side the pattern changes from stripes to solid bars.
Note: See below for latest pics.

The neck is too pretty to cover up with a fretboard! |

Yeah! That neck is a prime candidate for a silk screened fret board. |

I think that's one of the most finest looking finishes i'seen on a steel. And i've owned a few and seen a few. Good stuff _________________ Politics:Just vote .79' Sho-Bud "Super Pro"Webb,Fender Steel King, |

I am going with the raised Shobud black fretboard and black pad. It accents the blue beautifully.
The dust catcher like what I have on my Shobud Super Pro.
I have no problem with dust as I use a 3M dust remover spray when needed.
It took us over 2 hours of spraying coats to arrive at the color we were both satisfied with.
Then Mike put 8 coats of lacquer on it last week.
I or Mike will have updated pictures very soon.

Don, I envy you getting a guitar built by none other than Martin Weenick. His workmanship is high quality through and through. Heck of a nice guy too! _________________ BenRom Pedal Steel Guitars

Thanks fo all the nice comments guys, just finished putting a light blue flocking on yesterday and will start putting the mechanics in tomorrow. It will be 4 and 5 with the "0" pedal in the #1 position. Still has to be wet sanded and compounded out. Martin. _________________ Several custom steels. NV-112 Boss DD-7 |

Mike
Is doing a fabulous job and taking his time to be sure I get nothing but the best.
I was amazed yesterday when he showed me that in the linkage for my knee levers he had ball bearings to ease the motion of the knee levers.
It is beautiful the way it is and yet the body still needs to be wet sanded and buffed and polished.

Thanks guys for all your comments.
It's been a long wait as Mike started on it around the 1st of October but the cold weather down here has set him back about 2 months.

Mike
Thanks for posting the pictures.
I can see that the lighting has affected the true color of the body.
It is closer to the above photo in the main post.
Jack, you're welcome to give it a good workout when it's done.
