My long-time friend and tremendous musician Skip Edwards just had successful open heart surgery to replace a bad valve. Thankfully, all went went well. I spoke to Skip yesterday and he's in great spirits and says he's already starting to feel better.

I wanted to share this with the steel community so you can send your best wishes and "good vibes" to my man Skipper for a fast recovery!

Boo

Hey guys....
Really nice to hear from all of you.

Yeah, open heart surgery is a tough one, but it went well. I'm home, and getting a little stronger every day. I had one valve replaced and one repaired...both congenital defects from birth. Who knew? It was going on for years without any symptoms, and then wham, things went downhill fast. I'm lucky, though. Sometimes you never see the symptoms before it's too late, and your heart just blows, like with John Ritter and John Hughes.

Anyway, I'm happy to still be here, and I really appreciate all your good thoughts. Thanks again.
