I imagine this cut is from Paycheck's Little Darlin' years. Does anybody know who did the steel work on this one? It sounds fantastic.

Lloyd was the featured steel player on almost all of the Little Darlin recordings, including all the Paycheck classics.

Just as an aside; Lloyd once introduced me to "Another Steel Player" and it was Johnny Paycheck !! Now that's what I'd call COOL !!

I didn't realize that Johnny Paycheck was also a steel player. I wonder if there are any recordings of his playing.
