Not only is Josh Betrand a great Steel Guitarist for Toby Keith,he sure is one of the kindest person you'll ever meet in person and give you a time of day. Brutal Leo J.Eiffert,Jr. |

In my opinion, the best song Toby Keith ever recorded is "Crash Here Tonight." Listen to this one on you tube - it has very nice steel guitar in it and sounds like a real country song. It was on the charts, but not not get to #1. I don't know who did the steel work on the recording... |

The performance by Toby Keith was a tribute to Waymon Tisdale (?), the NBA player turned jazz bassist who was a friend of his and died at 44 (I think that was what I heard). He mentioned he wrote the song for him. Very touching. Josh played great and Dave Koz played great sax on the show. The best part of the award show. I assume that was Waymon's family they showed in the front row crying. That tore me up. I have a new, greater respect for Toby. Keep up the good work Josh. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Larry, the steel player on "Crash Here Tonight" was Dan Dugmore.

Thanks, Brett,
We can always count on you to know what steelers are playing with what artists. |
