Toby's steel player is Josh Betrand.

In my opinion, the best song Toby Keith ever recorded is "Crash Here Tonight." Listen to this one on you tube - it has very nice steel guitar in it and sounds like a real country song. It was on the charts, but not not get to #1. I don't know who did the steel work on the recording...

The performance by Toby Keith was a tribute to Waymon Tisdale (?), the NBA player turned jazz bassist who was a friend of his and died at 44 (I think that was what I heard). He mentioned he wrote the song for him. Very touching. Josh played great and Dave Koz played great sax on the show. The best part of the award show. I assume that was Waymon's family they showed in the front row crying. That tore me up. I have a new, greater respect for Toby. Keep up the good work Josh.

Larry, the steel player on "Crash Here Tonight" was Dan Dugmore.

Thanks, Brett,
We can always count on you to know what steelers are playing with what artists.
