I'm happy to announce that we are getting prepared for the April 15, 16 and 17, 2010 show. Our website is now back up and running and we will be posting more info there all the time. That address is, wouthernillinoisproductions.com
We have a great lineup already confirmed and more not yet confirmed. Again the show will be at the Holiday Inn. Anyone wanting to play can call me at 615 719 9641 or
615 419 9642. A lot of players have already contacted me so I will make a schedule allowing as many as possible to perform.
Ticket prices will remain the same as last year and rooms at the Holiday will remain within a dollar or so from last year. This and other info will be available on our website. Schedules will also be posted there by mid March.
This is our tenth year and no one has as yet made a single dollar from these shows. We are a non-profit corp with all profits (if any) are used to further expand the following show(s). The true love of the steel guitar is the reason everyone on the board and myself keep working so hard to keep the show alive. We need attendance and support from all. Without your support our show like many others will eventually fail.
We don't see that happening anytime soon so make your plans to come and be with us at the Mt Vernon, Il show.
Thanks so much to the forum for their support of the Steel Guitar. See you in April....Bobby Reed

Bobby: I want to thank you so much for the work you and the others do to put on this show, and anything I can do to help please let me know. Sence I live here it would be so easy for me to help with anything. I'm in Florida till the end of Febuary and then I'll be home. Mr. Don Lampley and Terry Smith and Mark Fitch and myself can get back to playing good old country music (unless they have replaced me) and hope to see past and new friends at the show in MT. Vernon. Put me down, I'll be there Winking

It is the best show in Illinois all year. You don't want to miss it.
All super musicans and singers playing the best of real country music.
I love to visit with all my friends, and I always get to meet many more.
Bill, I'm too old to date those pretty chicks, and Jean wouldn't like it
if I did anyway, Laughing Laughing Laughing so only another major heart attack could keep me away.
The right place to keep up with latest info is http://southernillinoisproductions.com/
Looking forward to seeing you fellows again. I might even get to play a little.

Thanks Roger I sure had a blast at those shows. I remember that one show in Atlanta and how Bobby Caldwell peeled and played with my "egg bar". That was funny. I would love to come to Atlanta again sometime. Let me know.

Blessings, Albert

Bill Dobkins, do you have a time slot? When are you leaving Missouri for Mt. Vernon? I'll visit with you about it at the Ray Carson birthday jam on March 14 in St. Robert. It sounds like fun in Mt. Vernon.

Carl, it's going to be a fun trip. I'm going to stop in Tennessee and pick up my buddy Gary Rittenberry. We plan to have a guitar or two there for people to see what kind of magic Gary is doing these days.
