We had an Easter festival in Thurso(Northern Scotland) over the Easter weekend.
The American visitors were Rick Trevino and band,
Amber Digby and Leona Williams with the Ambers.
Each of these Artistes gave us some real good music. The Ladies were fabulous and the bands were excellent
I did a set with our band and was quite nervous at being sandwiched between these two great bands.
I had a chat with Dave Biller who was playing steel for both Ladies.Dave is from Austin and is a superb player and a real nice guy,I believe He is a member here.He has a lovely "old"Emmons.
It was nice meeting everyone.
Best regards to all

Hey Billy, that Old Emmons that Dave Biller is playing is my old 66 Bolt-on P/P. He bought it off me 2 years ago in Dallas. He was at Dallas this year and we had a chat. He is a very nice chap and apparently a very hot player on both Steel and 6 string guitars.

Billy, it was a great pleasure to meet you. I wish we would've had more time to hang out as I really enjoyed talking with you. And, thank you for your kind comments. My flight case didn't make a very good seat!
Yessir Ivan, that was the '66, my main squeeze ever since i bought it from you 2 years ago. Unfortunately, it suffered a disfiguring injury on the flight home. Purely cosmetic, in fact, it was still in tune! Can you imagine?! a push/pull IN TUNE after an 8000 mile plane ride?!

Dave,
It looks like We missed one another narrowly at Dallas.
I was'nt aware that You had previously posted a request for help/info from anyone going to Thurso.
I could have saved Your butt Very Happy by giving You My pack seat,I could also have saved You bringing Your guitar,I have a spare Zum D10.
Perhaps You will be back next year.

Dave, I'm glad that gig wasn't cancelled, unbeknownst to the bands.
