Mike D sure does nice work, I can vouch for that; however, the seller left "Mike Neer Limited Edition" out of the description.
just kidding, I swear! _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

They certainly deserve to be listed in the company of the real McCoy. I still can't get over your's with the binding and James' w/the Rukavina bridge. The shoes make them look awesome plus! |

My wife noticed that the eBay seller has zero feedback.
Hopefully, it's a genuine sale _________________ A newbie with lots to learn |

That's not surprising, considering what it is, and since the member is using his name as ID it may be the original owner/family selling. I doubt it will go, but if I was a money bag 7 player it'd be mine. You certainly don't see them with virtually all the gold wash intact, so it didn't get played much and sat in it's case forever, most likely. |

I like this kind of investment instrument. I hope the seller gets back to me.

I wonder how the seller of the frypan determined it was a 1934? There's really no way to know, and serial numbers don't mean anything. This has been discussed and researched at length with no definite answers.
It does have the original tint, and 7 strings are rare. I was told that my 7 string is a '34 also. No way to tell, but it makes conversation. |

As an investment, this would be quite chancey since it's already beyond the current optimum and steels get no/little respect. So the payoff may never come in our lifetimes.
Bill, I wonder if anyone has yet compiled the diffinitive 'book' on early Ricky steel minutiae? |

Mine, being a 7 string, is a short scale, which can never sound as good as a long scale, even though it sounds OK.
The value of these is over-rated in my opinion. |

Well, it is a bit overpriced to say the least. I think it is the real "McCoy" as in those days, the Frypan did not have a tone control...just the vol as shown. As for long scale vs short scale, I feel the tone would be similar however the sustain in a long scale would be better. JMHO of course.
Ron, if I had your money and my charm and personality, I'd snap it up in an eye-blink ! (ha!) |

Now you have me wondering who does have my $/charm/personality, I was sure it was you!
Oh well, the search continues, I'll probably find David Kelii's 8 string fry-pan way sooner... |
