We have just finished testing a new Burr Brown chip with the N112 amp. The old mod has been great but I have found a better "mousetrap", as they say.

With the old BB chip I could head a subtle change and a pleasant one for sure. We compared an un-modded N112 and a newly modded one yesterday and were thrilled with the results. The un-modded amp was dull and lifeless compared to the modded amp. My guitar sounded as different as if it went from dead strings to new strings! Great touch sensitivity and string separation. Excellent mids. I could run the amp with all the controls at 12:00 o'clock and still have a very usable tone.

The kits will be available after the 13th (we are out of town for a few days and can't ship yet). The kits are on our site for sale now, we can ship as soon as we get back from Maine. Also REDUCED PRICE for the new kits.

We will soon offer a kit for the N-400 (chips only, not the full "intense mod". These chips are also for the Profex 2 and Bassfex and have been lowered in price on the website as well.

We have also tested the new 12" SICA and the results were fantastic! A great tone for the N112 and a 6 lb weight reduction, leaving the amp at 37 pounds.

There is an issue with the mounting stud locations (further apart than standard!!). This will be resolved before we can get the speakers ordered for sale.
