My old friend and neighbor Gary Brandon sent me this incredible CD this week "The Venduras In The Dark" and I am just blown away,This is unique shades of spaghetti westerns meets, scuba diving,Serious atmosphere...absolutely pristine recording.Gary's tone&touch are something to behold.About 10 years ago I made a trip back to L.A. and visited my old friend Alan Hamel who built those cowboy guitars at the Fender Custom shop...Alan also had a country band that he fronted,he asked me if I heard Gary Brandon play recently I told him that I hadn't heard Gary in about 20 years,Alan said you aint gonna believe how great he's playing...Now I know what Alan is talking about.Well done Gary.Every steel play should have this CD!!

You had me all excited, I thought he put out a new one...
"In the Dark" is a masterpiece, one of the best of my all time favorites. I wish they would make another one.

That's probably the best selling CD at my shop (maybe because I recommend it so highly)- I have deemed it Quentin Tarantino meets the Ventures Smile
