Hello,
this is a beautiful conditional all original Fender Blackface princeton reverb. This is an amazing sounding amp. I upgraded the stock speaker with a weber 10a125 alnico speaker which sounds incredible in this amp. Also upgraded the particle board baffle with a new pine ply baffle custom made by Rodgers Amplifiers out of Naples Fl. The tolex is in excellent condition as well as the grille cloth. This amp was recently gone through by my amp tech Tim Ristau from SuperFine amp Works out of Raleigh NC, where he installled a new set of NOS RCA 6v6gty military spec output tubes and biased, replaced old 2 prong plug with a grounded electical plug, and he went through the entire amp retentioning tube sockets cleaning pots and output jacks etc....Tim is the finest amp tech in North Carolina and is one of the Lead Engineers at Carr Amplifiers. Tim told me this is one of the finest sounding/and condition princeton reverbs he has ever heard. The tubes are all NOS RCA with the exception of a JJ GZ34 rectifier tube.

Here is what I have put into the amp:
Weber Speaker 100.00
New Pine Baffle 100.00
NOS tubes 250.00
Service 150.00
D2F custom cover 75.00
theres 675.00 alone in upgrades...
Also have the original '66 oxford speaker and 2 prong plug.
I do not have the original baffle as the original was in tough shape, or the footswitch....
the chassis is in great shape with no pitting and is very clean inside and out...
This is a players amp, and sounds incredible with my lapsteel,
this amp needs nothing but to be played and enjoyed for a long time....
Price: $1550.00 shipped to a good home any where in the lower 48
thanks,
smitty

Paul,
Was the old grill cloth transfered to the new baffle board or was it replaced?
Thanks,
Rich |

Hello,
The grill cloth is not the original... this is an aged grill cloth that came w/ the new baffle... I had to throw out the old baffle, the original owner Cut a hole in the baffle right through the grill cloth to install a horn.... go figure? It was not salvagable so I had to throw it away... the baffle is the only part of the amp non original.... as I have retained the original speaker, and 2 prong cord.
thanks for pointing that out, I appreciate it...

Larry Rodgers makes great aged grills and baffles...I too have one in my '66 Princeton Reverb and also in 2-'67 Super Reverbs...a huge improvement over those cheapo particleboard baffles Fender used.. NICE AMP!!! _________________ https://www.reverbnation.com/bigredandtheresonators |
