Hey y'all. Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the Boss DD-6 tone. Especially on strings 3 and 4, I get a scratchy tone that is way too bright. Could be my particular pedal (its a little beat up). Has anybody had this problem? Thanks, Dennis.

I haven't had a problem like that . I doubt if it's that pedal causing the problem . Could be a cord or your settings or maybe a loose connection . One of my DD-6 pedals developed a loose connection inside and I sent it to Roland in CA and they fixed it and sent it back . NO CHARGE . Are you using the correct power adapter ? Do you still get the same problem without using the pedal ? If so then it is not the pedal . To me delay usually "fattens" the tone instead of adding harshness .

Dennis, I have the same problem that Dennis talked about. I've tried an Ibanez DE-7, a Boss DD-3 a DD-6 and now have a DD-5 and everyone of them brighten my tone very noticablly. I'd just like to find a delay pedal that don't color my tone.

Hey guys, have any of you ever tried the BOSS DD-20 GIGA DELAY.
That's the only one I use now. It's stereo, and has a tone control.
It's not cheap, but for what it does, and the nice sound, it's worth it.
When I use it stereo with my N112 & N1000, WOW! The sound is amazing.

I'm using the Hardwire DL-8, very nice pedal, and no effect on my tone at all. Very clean, no hiss, great build quality. Seems to have more life and character than my BOSS DD-7.

Try the CMATMODS Deelay. Adds no highs, three knobs, up to 600 ms.Best delay pedal for the money (150.00). very analog sweet sounding!Fantastic with steel, no harshness. By the way, a Hilton volume pedal can push the DD6 (or DD3)into harshness if after it.
