anyone ever tried a fender bassman 60 for steel? i just gave one to my brother am wondering what they sound like with steel

Sure you get a great sound, Tom Brumly used one to, had fender put a reverb in it for him.

Like most "bass amps" the Fender Bassman 60 and Bassman 100 both have good headroom with minimal distortion, add a decent reverb unit and it should serve him just fine until he needs a serious stage amp.

thanks guys he dont play steel he plays bass i was just curious about the sound i already have 2 steel amps a nv112 and nv1000 i gave him the amp and bass hoping 2 get him back into playing he played friday night with us and is supposed 2 play again tonight thanks again
