SOLD!
Hi guys,
Since Robert purchased my other Guyatone last week and all went well, I thought I'd put this one out and see what happens. It's another Japanese Guyatone "stringmaster style", BUT this one has the Oahu badge (Oahu steels usually made by Valco, but obviously not all. Oahu was a publishing company and not a manufacturer. FYI, the Oahu owner retired here in AZ and back in the 90s I bought much of his guitar collection from his widow. All those are now long gone, unfortunately). This one has its' original hard case (missing part of the middle latch, and some residue from having some tape on it, etc) and space for legs, but no legs. In fact the bottom is routed for leg sockets but it doesn't look like it ever actually had them. Body has some scratches in the blonde finish, and some pitting to the chrome plating (also a little dirty in the ashtray-like tuner plate area, easy to clean up). Also, this one is wired differently from the previous one I sold, as one knob is a master volume and the other is a tone control (my other had two independent volume controls). Don't know if that was stock or not, it does seem to make more sense than two independent volumes but easy enough to change if you need to. 22.5" scale.
Anyway, it needs to go. I WAS asking $250 plus shipping, and I'll ship anyplace in the world, but obviously that didn't get anyone excited. True, it doesn't have legs like the last one, although it does have the hard case. Anyway, price is now $195 plus shipping, and shipping is likely to be around $30 for Fedex ground in the continental US.. Paypal or money order, not a problem either way. Thanks and I may be clearing out some more stuff in coming weeks but don't want to abuse my opportunities on this forum! My motivation right now is my stepson and grandson moving into my guestroom (thank you, economy!) where I used to keep a bunch of my extra gear. You can email jkally3@cox.net or use the forum, whatever works best for you.
