Looking to get my first D-10 and asking $1500 shipping included for this GFI Ultra SD-10 3x4. I bought it from Josh Cho in December '09 and love it. It is black with polished aluminum trim... links to his post and additional photos are below.
I wish I could say it has been in the case the whole time but exactly the opposite... I have been playing it constantly. Although it has never left the living room and is still in the same pristine condition. I just re-strung with SIT BE 12-38's and re-tuned the changers. Nice case included, of course.

Zach, does this guitar have Emmons setup, pedals and knees? Can you tell me what each knee does? Thanks

Zach, in particular I need to know what RKL and RKR do. I'm wanting the same setup as I have on my Emmons. Oh, what year model is this guitar? Thanks

Terry - unless I haven't been paying attention to my knees (I play by ear), the copedent should be just as shown here, but with no LKV:

I'll check to make sure when I get home and let you know. The serial # is 0636 and I think it is from about 2002, but I would not be surprised if I am a little off on the year. _________________ 1981 Push-Pull

Thanks Zach, the only difference I see, is it don't have the 1st string F# to G# change, but I don't think the parts would be that much to add that.

Apologies to Terry, there is a slight difference in the copedent on this GFI... the RKL also raises the 1 a whole step to G#. See below for the whole setup.

Aright! thanks Zach. Looks like it has everything my Emmons has. I'm trying to decide between your GFI and the Emmons SD-10 for sale. But for the price he's asking for the Emmons, makes your guitar about $600 cheaper. I hope I don't snooze to long.

Well make sure you get the one you want. I've got two others interested in the GFI so far but you are the first so I'll give you some time to consider. _________________ 1981 Push-Pull

I appreciate that Zach. I pm'ed the guy that has the Emmons but hadn't heard back from him. But if you have a buyer, don't let my snoozing keep you from selling it. I know how tuff it is to get stuff sold nowdays.

Posted 12 Mar 2010 9:34 am Changer Fingers?
|
|
Hey all,
One of the potential buyers of this fine steel wants to know what the "changer fingers" are made of in this circa 2002 GFI Ultra??
Quote: |
Also, do you know if that guitar has stainless steel changer fingers? The new ones do but someone owned it before you so I don't know how old it is. |
Anybody have a clue? Any info would be most helpful, thanks in advance.
Aloha,

After an email with Bob at GFI, it looks like this one might have been made prior to their introduction of stainless steel fingers on the Ultra. Bob said he would try to confirm next week and get back to me.
