Just watched the Presley's new show on RFD with Robby Springfield on steel. They had him up in the mix like it should have been and gave him plenty of "screen" time. Very nice to see a forumite on national television. I've seen him two Saturdays in a row.....'course had to go to Texas last Saturday. I don't know why Nashville never seems to know when the steel is taking a ride......they don't have that problem in Branson. Maybe it's 'cause it's country music. |

Larry ,
I was watching as well and I was beginning to consider-- prior to this show , that I was going to have to write a little reminder to the Presley's website to both not only bring up the steel in the mix but also feature it more often directly .
I was very happy to see that they did do both this show-- for the first time ! I met Robby long ago while he was living in Houston and I was disappointed --until the Presley show tonight that they were not featuring such a fine steel player as Robby . Good for them and hope it will continue !
Keep that Mullin fired up Robby !!!! _________________ John |

Hey Folks : I was beginning to think that I was the only one whom noticed that about their show; First couple of shows all you would see featured were the fiddle; lead guitar and piano. All good musicians but when there are many forumites out here that LOVE good steel guitar, why were they hiding Robby on us.. Yes, it surely seemed great to see him up front and superb on his pickin that Sho-Bud Guitar. I was on the verge of contacting the Presley Web Site and complain loud and clear; When there is a good steel guitar man set up on their stage; why not spot-lite him on every show. Glad to see and hear Robby performing his grand talent for us all..Bernie _________________ 2007 Zum S-10; 1967 Sho-Bud [ D-10 ]; 85 S-10 Sierra; 1953 Multi-Kord [ 6 String- 4 pedals ] A Sho-Bro six String Resonator Guitar; Nashville 112 Amp; hilton Vol. Pedal |

Larry and robby; I apologize if I called Robby's steel a Sho-Bud; I just had a new lens put in my right eye; and I was almost certain I was looking at a Sho-Bud on my TV screen. Maybe because I wanted it to be one.. But I can be sold on " The Mullins " brand; my buddy Mickey Adams is a great Mullins man and Jim Lindsley is playing a 1986 model.. And no matter what kind you are pickin on Robby, you are doing a grand job.. I met a friend of yours, Roger Blevins, from the Baldnoggers Band a couple of summers ago. Another fine steeler.. Send us some clips to watch here on the forum..Bernie _________________ 2007 Zum S-10; 1967 Sho-Bud [ D-10 ]; 85 S-10 Sierra; 1953 Multi-Kord [ 6 String- 4 pedals ] A Sho-Bro six String Resonator Guitar; Nashville 112 Amp; hilton Vol. Pedal |

An interesting side note on Robby's G2---back a year ago when we had the big ice storm go through this area, Robby received his G2 right when the electricity was off !! Imagine unwrapping that thing and not being able to play it ?? How many days was it Robby ?? - |

My G2 arrived just as that storm came in.
I had to wait until it warmed up in the case before even popping the top. Got it set up and turned on for about 10 minutes before the power went off for 17 days! Now that's not fair. _________________ Robby

It was so great to see Robby burning up the stage with the Steel. So bad that he was no longer there last time. _________________ Legrande D10,lacquered D10 Zum,D10Pedalmaster non pedal,D8 Gibson console,NV112,NV1000 |
