Hello everyone,
after a long time of just watching the Steelguitarforum, I have finally decided to join and
get a chance to learn even more about this beautifull
instrument.I have been playing steelguitar for more than 10 years now, and although I am not playing in a band, I
enjoy every time I can play. At the moment my instru-
ment is a S-10 Jagiella with E9th tuning. About two
years ago, I was lucky to buy this guitar at a reson-
able price, from an older man here in Germany, who
quit playing due to his age.
I am looking forward to find out more about steelguitar with the forum and its members. |

Welcome Philipp! It doesn't get any better than this bunch. A great mix of fine people. I don't know what your aspirations are, but honestly if you were to get into a little band that just jammed once or twice a week, you would be amazed at what it would do to your playing/thinking and it would raise the bar with your level of enjoyment I DO believe. I am not inferring "a band" that plays clubs and such unless of course you aspire to that. Again, welcome and good luck whichever avenue you proceed. Tschuss |

Hello everybody,
thank you very much for the nice welcome in the forum.I already feel like being home with all those friendly people. To answer Shorty`s question about my location, I live in Trier which is the oldest city
in Germany, about half way between the border to Luxemburg and Bitburg. I mention Bitburg, because there used to be a major USAF Base until around 1993
One or the other member will have memories of the time he spent at BItburg during a military duty.If
you look at a map of Germany, Trier is on the western
edge, almost in the middle between the Northsea and the alps in the south.
I will try to upload a few pictures of my Jagiella
steelguitar, so everyone can see, what it looks like.
Hope it will work out and you will enjoy them |

Thanx for the pics Philipp
fine conception
the angle of the end of the strings on the changer are similar to the Williams
i'm surprised very few builders use that concept rather than the 90° angle
ps : Shorty , don't let Schmitt throw you off
i'm in France not Germany |
