Could I get some simple examples of using this KL for a half & whole lower for beginners and some theory on why it was put on the steel to start with and who used it first. I am posting this for a friend of mine that don't have a computer, I will have to make copies of this post and fax it to him, he is a new player and has discovered he has this knee lever and is not satisfied with what I have sent him. His copedent is a standard Emmons setup on his beginners steel. All post will be helpful, maybe Paul Southerland and Dick Sexton can jump on this for me. Thanks,,,,,,,, Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Arrow Gary

Hi Gary,

If you use the search function here on the forum and search for "2nd string lower" in the "pedal steel" section, you will get many multiple page threads on the subject.

for example:

good luck to your friend.

Gary, tell your buddy to keep practicing and then "Trappin' Squirrels" won't be over his head. If he thinks that way he will never progress very far.
