Rusty, I really enjoyed your set Friday night. I had a gig on Saturday, so I left not long after your great set. I'm probably not alone in saying, when you came on the Stage, you livened up the place. there was some beautiful Steel playing before and after you, but you put a huge SPARK in the evening. Plus, You like HAG like I do. You "Burnt the place down"!! Thanks for the fire. I hope to meet you someday. _________________ They call it FILL 'cause it goes in the holes. Hey Rusty,
Thanks so much for asking me to do your set Friday night, it was a blast. As for the jam, I havent't done anything like that for a long time. The last 30 minutes of the Scrapple/Indiana medley just about did me in though. One drummer trying to keep up with you, Bethel, Cox, Austin and Tyler was a stretch. Having a great bass player like Bill Cunningham (heck of a steel player too) made it even more enjoyable. When can we do it again?
See ya soon,
Jim |

Rusty,
After the all night Mullen Room jam session, I am now more than ever convinced that “you ain’t right”. Folks, every chorus he played was filled with something unique and fresh.
And in the same set there were also Terry Bethel and Johnny Cox right beside him!! WOW. What a privilege it was to get to help Jim Hartley back you guys. There’s no doubt ya’ll “melted down” the rhythm section by 5:30 AM. I guess this was sort of what those sessions used to be like at the Andrew Jackson Hotel during the DJ Convention?
See you next time I hope! _________________ Bill Cunningham

Rusty,
Unfortunately I missed your set, and what made it worse was hearing all of the rave reviews about it afterward. However, I did hear you practicing during the weekend, and it was definitely a treat !!! Superb playing my friend !!

Rusty was playing in the Jackson Room. He was playing with tracks on Random play. The real show was in the Jackson room. He played almost an hour back to back songs. Awesome is an understatement. Rusty sure hope you can comeback next year!!! _________________ ShowPro SD10, Mullens RP, Bose S1 Pro, GK MB200, MB500, Bugera T50 Tube amp with SlidgeRig, TC HOF reverb effect. |
