I wrote an email reply (not on Forum) to a thing I got from PedalSteel.us and it seems to have spammed everyone in Christendom. My sincere apologies. I've tried to straighten it out with the mag folks but it continues to annoy. Again, sorry but I don't know why it's happening.

I'm getting alot of "Remove" emails sent to my address for some totally unknown reason. Is this what you're talking about John? Hope the folks that sent those are also reaching their intended destination.

Aien't no biggie. Don't sweat it. That's what the delete buttons are for. No more than I know about this puter I could and can do the same thing. AND I wouldn't have a clue how to fix it. Guess I'd have to call the Orkin man.

Yes I've gotten this remove thing from just about everyone also...and alot of folks are getting responses from everyone on the list(which is hidden) and a e-mail virus is circulating and circulating in every reply/response/subscription on every e-mail in the list..
It's a shame someone on the list had a virus in their system....as to why the HUGE clutter of effect has happened.....
NOBODY respond to anything will slow/stop it. Everybody run your virus scan...and do not respond to any of them.....because nobody is sending you anything....a virus is automatically sending it from a server.

I quit counting at 26. That was about 4 or 5 hours ago. Since then, they've been coming in every few minutes or so.

The mail was sent from a distribution list. If someone replies to it het replies to that same same list which contains everyone who was originally mailed.
As a systems administrator I see these things happen once in a while.

I got about 25 of them Monday evening. Worse than that... I got a nasty email from someone telling me to stop clogging up his email! He thought I was sending the stuff to him. I never even heard of the guy. What a mess. I hope it clears up soon. I normally get about 80 emails a day, mostly junk, and it's time consuming sorting through this garbage.

Everyone is getting very small numbers, as I see it! I am getting, like about 200 on each email address listed within the email message... but none of them came to the address it was originally sent from! (the reply to: subscriptions@pedalsteel.us) ...and might I add... I only sent it 1 TIME!

...Not 15... or 50!

Whew!

I just got 37 emails from this pedalsteel.us magazine. I do not subscribe to it and have no intention of doing so in the future. Please take dawson@pt.lu off the mailing list.
Many thanks

I suppose if we all subscribe it will stop, Ha Ha Ha!!

I got around 50 or so going on a hundred... many of them are doubles and triples of the same name.

Terry, if you get this, please remove me from your list as well.

Thanks, God Bless,
Michael T.
