I'm a beginner but I swear there's a C6 on Columbus Stockade Blues from the Little Darlin era. I've heard that most of the steel work on Paycheck's early stuff was Lloyd Green. Is this a different picker? Thanks, curious in Texas _________________ I'd rather be pickin' |

Jeremiah,
Lloyd did indeed record Columbus Stockade Blues in the era you mention on the C6th and played the heck out of it. Lloyd was a great C6th player, with as much spirit and taste as he plays E9th. |

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Thanks gents, that clears up my confusion. He kills with both necks. I'm learning that the c6 sound can be faked pretty well on E9, but I was sure I heard a boowah bomb in there. _________________ I'd rather be pickin' |

hey Jeremiah, there's also a really cool instrumental version that Lloyd cut on a very early album. Also C6. Lemme know if haven't heard that. |
