How many do we have left that recorded at the Jim Beck Studio in Dallas when it was in existence? I know it was "the" place for a period of time who knows what would have been had Jim not died.

Not many.

All I can think of:

Singers: Ray Price, Sonny James, and Frankie Miller

Sidemen: Johnny Gimble for sure. Leon Rhodes and Bobby Koefer very likely recorded there.

And a few obscure rockabilly guys like Lew Williams and Sid King. At least I think Sid is still alive.

Beck died in 1956, so anyone who recorded there would be well in their 70s. Most likely there are quite a few obscure sidemen still alive in and around Texas who were at Beck's at one time or another.

I was thinking more of sidemen than stars. I work with the then staff keyboard man but I know we have lost a lot of them.
