I'd like some info on how the guitar plays. Tone wise, sustain, etc.

I've read up on Don's site regarding his building techniques, but would really like to hear opinions of comparisons to other brands.

Well I'm no expert as I've only been playing about a yr.(graduated from lead guitar to steel)but I had a Carter Starter that I modified to make it a bit more friendly to play, great tone but lacked in playability as the reason for the mod.But I soon outgrew it as there wasn't enough room to add a ver.knee so I ordered this one from Don Burrows,it has BL-710's good sustain, top is made of wood while the aprons are alum.as is the neck. It's covered in mica,in my case a dark blue to match my seat & my eyes & other parts of me that have turned blue from age.I would suggest to anyone wanting to upgrade from a beginner steel to read Don's website to see the quality he builds into his guitars. The price is right too. I was pleasantly surprised at the tonal qualities of this guitar.I'm playing thru a Vegas 400 without the mods & it sounds great to me using an Ibanez digital delay/echo with tone-lok.

Don Burrows emailed me a list one time of people that play his guitar but unfortunately I didn't save the list.As for building your own brand with the economy the way it is & the number of builders already doing it seems to me a bad decision but I guess if a person wanted to try it ,I say "git er' dun".
