CC and his LPA were my favorite band in the 70s. I loved Bobby Black's steel work, especially on My Window Faces The South and Everybody's Doin' It. Now I feel like digging out the albums! After an Ann Arbor MI gig I was in Floods with our "gal singer" and who should be sitting at the bar but Commander Cody! I didn't have the guts to say something to him, I wish I had done so. |

Thanks for the link, Colm!
I tried to play the lick that comes right after Mama hated diesels so bad, played it on the 10th fret (because it's in D) on strings 6,5,4 pressing, releasing, pressing B and C pedals and then sliding into the tenth fret, no pedals on strings 5,4 and 3. Does anybody know if this is the right way? |

Don't pass up the opportunity if it happens again, Allan. Cody is one of those guys that really loves to talk (unless he's itchin for a toke...), and of course he has the stories!
Ann Arbor/Detroit must have been awesome to witness in the 60/70s for great music. The Grande Ballroom! |
