The next San Jose jam session is coming up in a few weeks. Don't fergit! I've had only a small handful of thinker@email.rahul.net?subject=Steel_jam so far, so I can't say how many will be coming quite yet. We certainly have room for a lot of folks (1000 square feet). Last August we had 18 steelers and this past November we had 15, including JayDee Maness. The usual fare is to take turns picking to Band In The Box tunes (thanks to Jim Baron), and this time Bobby Lee will be bringing some looped practice tracks from some Jeff Newman instructional LPs, and I will be adding some "Band In The Pocket" accompaniment tracks to the mix.

Come one, come all! Here's the announcement page with all the pertinent details:

Two weeks and counting. The response had been a bit light this time so the gathering may be a little smaller (we had 15 steelers last time, in November '02). But big or small, it's a lot of fun.

Hi, all. Right now we're up to 14 attendees (plus me), though a number of those are "maybes". There may also be some unannounced participants. So it's looking like a pretty nice turnout.

I talked to Bobby Black today and there is a good chance he will attend. He couldn't promise but it sounded promising, so all you on the fence, show up!!!
