Hey, this is going to be a great show. Let's all support the music we love and attend this show. Larry is bringing us a Branson type show for about one third of what it would cost in Branson. See ya there... |

Yes, support this show, it will have the best players and singers anywhere. Larry, I played with Dewayne Bowman last night in a big nigh club in Springfield. I used to play steel guitar for Dewayne back when he owned the Paint Stallion Night Club in Joplin. Last night Dewayne and me Locked Horns again. A Emmons next to a Telecaster and it was loud and good. |

Keith....Dewayne is probably the most fun on stage of anyone I know and makes playing such a joy. I'm glad you boys reconnected Sunday night. I hope you can come over Mar 6th.....we'll have Tyler Hall on steel, Dave Owen on upright , Dwain Carger on drums, Andy Oberg on keyboard, and Dewayne on guitar and when you combine that talent with the invited guests , Lisa Layne and Wade Benson Landry , everyone is in for a treat. NEOSHO at the recently remodeled {3.6 million dollars} CIVIC auditorium. $10.00 bucks to get in makes it a heckadeal. Doors open at 6:00PM , show starts at 7:00. Cya there |

I've been looking forward to this since Larry called me back in Nov. Mr. Dewayne is so much fun to play with. I think he knows every song ever cut, country or swing. Between Dewayne, Lisa, and Wade, it ought to be a heck of a show. Lisa Layne is a great singer and does a wonderful job of Patsy Cline music. I worked with Wade for 2 years, and he puts on a real high energy show. If you like cajun, country and swing, you'll love him. Now, I'm off to practice up for Sat. See you there... _________________ www.ozarksteelguitar.com

Tyler, make Wade Landry eat some of that hot E9th. Tell Wade I don't want you confined to the C6th. You know what I am talking about Tyler. Oh, maybe Wade is afraid he can't keep up with you on E9th, is that it? |

Keith, you never cease to amuse me. I'll play all E9 and tell him it was your idea! I'll call you, I've got 2 sick pedals I need to get to you.
Larry, are we backing everyone on the show? Thats what I'm assuming. I talked to Wade, and I know I'm playing for him and Dewayne. Just wondering... _________________ www.joshturner.com

Tyler....we're backing both acts , however Boo Miller will play Lisa's portion. I can't remember if I told you......black slacks/jeans/britches and a white shirt. Now Keith , don't show up in black jeans/white shirt and try to convince the door man that you're with the band ha ha |

Tyler, my cell is 818-7230, you have my home phone number. I will probably be out in the shop buildings working on pedals and there is no phone out there. Frank will be in the big building if I happen to be gone to ship stuff. Actually Larry, I thought I might put a dress on, wear a wig, lipstick, and try to sneak in the back door as one of Tyler Hall's MANY girlfriends. On second thought I have a girl friend I will probably bring to the show. With the talent you have lined up Larry, it will be worth the trip. |

Jack....on second thought , you can wear your dress and you and Keith could come as Moe and Joe. I'm sure that your dates wouldn't be offended and you'd certainly standout in the crowd. Whaddaya think ? |

All I have to say is....anyone who was not at Neosho at the Spring Country Music Fest last night, missed a great show. Did I say great? I mean "GREAT SHOW". I'll not do a review of the whole show, but trust me with two of the best male singers in the country Dewayne Bowman, and Dave Owens as starters, you know you're in for a super evening of music and entertainment. Lisa Layne, what a voice, then you have...best I can say is, you have an explosion center stage when Wade Benson Landry starts his show. Worth the money ?? Do I have to answer that? If they do it again, I'll be there, and I hope you are too. |

Tony,
I agree with you 100%. It was as good as any I've seen in Branson. Tyler Hall & Boo Miller were great on steel, the band was excellent, the headliners were 1st class, and it was "real country". I was surprised that Larry didn't play bass. I didn't know that he had turned producer on us.
Marion & I drove in from south of Tulsa, and can't wait for the chance to do it again.
Way to go, Larry.

Tony....I know I've worked with you before behind Lynn Ward but I confess and apologize for not recognizing you and thanking you for coming down. I'll proudly do that now ! I thought the show came off splendid and with the help of Dub Bowman , we assembled a great group of support players. Lisa Layne....what a killer job she and Boo did ! I'd love to have them back. Wade Landry is such an entertainer/showman/musician and did his usual fabulous job. What a wonderful surprise to see Rolene Brumley....she rode down with Boo and Lisa. A gracious lady.
My goal was to make the show click with minimum down time on stage and we accomplished that , due in part to the smooth transition between Boo and Tyler. I also thought the M C I hired did a very credible job and kept the show moving along at a fast pace.
I can't write this without giving credit to Dwain Carger who worked tirelessly helping to prepare the auditorium. Also in the giving credit department , Dewayne Bowman was the biggest draw since we did this in his back yard. Everyone loves him and next time , now that they've seen Lisa and Wade ,folks will be drawn by their presence in the lineup. Thanks Tony. |

Rick Crow....It was wonderful to look up and see you and your sweet wife coming in the door. Thank you for honoring us with your presence. As far as me playing bass on the show , I didn't feel like I could be in that many places at once , what with ticket sales and making change and assisting the sound man with some of our equipment and making sure Mama King was comfortable. Someone remarked that it looked like a Bill Gaither event where all the old folks {Jake , Vestal and Howard Goodman , Gloria Gaither, and the like} being seated in overstuffed chairs and in Mom's case , a recliner. At 92 she did well.
As far as producer , I'll say this....that's a LOT OF WORK...and a local civic organisation who promised to help promote , dropped the ball and pulled out at the last minute after I had passed the point of no return which made even more work. I'll have to count the financial loss and lick my wounds before embarking on another one but we'll do it again some day. I'd love to do at least 4 shows a year and I did learn some important lessons on this one. Everyone knows that if you want to enjoy a nice , red , juicy homegrown tomato , you first have to plant the seed. We planted seed this time. Thank you once again and I'm proud to call you friend. |
