Last night I was going through some stuff in my cabinet and ran across an issue of Pedal Steelo.US. It is Vol. 1 Issue #1. I bought it from Terry Wendt back in 2003 when it first came out. Wonder if anyone else has any of the other issues. This one is in pristine condition. In fact I just put it up when I got it and forgot all about it until last night. Has a great article by Lloyd Green and some others. Haven't heard anything about Terry or the magazine in a long time.

Issue #1 is the only one ever published. A lot of people are still upset about not getting the rest of their subscription. I think a Forum search will bring up the gory details. |

I thought there were three issues. I only have one myself, it has Jerry Douglas on the cover. _________________ Mark |

I wrote some articles that were included in #2, there was some progress made on #3, but that's as far as it went.
There was a website up for years still selling subscriptions, which appears to be gone now.
You could probably get hold of Terry through this site if you wanted a copy of #2: http://theearlydays.com/
I do wonder about all those disappointed subscribers. I'm one of 'em. |

Gere, Terry is still around. Runs a studio and does some producing now and has written a book. He is one of my friends on myspace. So, how have you been? Still playing in Woodbine? |

Hi Alan. Good to hear from you. Thanks for the info on Terry. I quit picking back in September so I am not picking anywhere now and probably never will again. Going to keep my steel and amp just in case. |

That's pretty sad to hear. I hope you get back into it soon. I've been considering ditching my steel lately. Just don't seem to have time for it, but I know I'd be sorry if I got rid of it. It took me too many years to finally get one. |

Hi Alan. Don't give up on the steel. You are still young and should find some time for it. I figured since I wasn't very good any way and haven't improved much after about 65 years of trying, that I should just quit while I am behind. I still love it as much, just can't conquer it.
Alan Harrison, I appreciate your kind words and I hope I didn't hurt your ear drums too bad when you came down. I will give you a call soon and we will down another cup and talk. Good to hear from you.

Gere, "Steel Guitar is a blood infection" of which there is no cure. I have had it for about 65 years and like you, it has conquered me.
I don't know any players who would say they have mastered this instrument. I for one, will continue the quest for as long as Our LORD allows me to remain on this earth.
I just hope you will keep chipping away at it. alan _________________ Mullen (Black) Pre G-2 9x7, B.L. 705 PUP's, Evans SE 200 Telonics NEO 15-4, BJS Bar, Peterson Strobo Flip, Steelers Choice Seat, Folgers Coffee and Hilton Pedals.
