I'll tell you what... I tried a set of those 'D'addario pro steels' strings and can hohnestly say that the 'Sho-bud' loves them and the MSA Too.
I was real leary about going back to a 20 plain on the 6th, i always ran 22 plain and sometimes a wound, but man... they are wonderful.
You dont get a double on the 11 plain, but i change mine every 5 or 6 shows anyway, if not before and i havent had a breakage on the 3rd yet in 6 nights. Clear lows and soothing highs and they dont get muddy after a few hours of pounding, like some of the other brands do!
I'm not lying, but i used to have to tweek it every set with climate changes in the room, up here on the 'Great plaines' but now i just let it sit, tune it to 441 and walk away... Beautiful.
No.. I dont work for them, but i really like the way they sound and handle, about $8.00 PER SET.
Has anybody else tried them with an opinion???

I have used them for years, however only in the last two years or so have they become known as Pro Steels. They were formerly their XLS490(E9th) and XLS500(C6th) set. Same strings, their stainless round round. Good sounding, long lasting strings. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |

I've been using D'Addario strings on all my insturments for years. They are the most availible And widest selection of all the brands that I'm aware of.My local store has them in singles too so I can make up any set that I need.
Lee,if your local stores don't have them you can get them at all the on-line stores. |

D'Addario used to make strings for Dekley, and they worked fine back then. I still have some spares in the Dekley packages from 30 years ago, and they still work good as spares. |
