This holds guitar off table upsidedown, so you can adjust it and check pulls without Puting it back on floor.Simply reach under guitar strum string
or open chord,Operate any knee or pedal.Guitar is above carpet or table with no string interferance.Install while guitar is still in case or on table. Will not work on a Sierra. Set of Four with Rubber Base rmce9@yahoo.com If you have a GFI let me Know,They reguire a 1/8 "larger legg hole.

Looks like a good idea, as opposed to laying it upside down on the bed or a work bench, then not being able to strike the string or chord. How do they attach to the guitar? |

Bob, I think I see how it works from the pic, but could you briefly explain? It looks like each stand has a hole that the threads of each leg go into. Are there four of these, and do you know any limitations on what guitars this would work on? For example, Sierra legs attach very differently than the typical steel.
This looks a real useful tool for someone without a good workbench. I'm interested, but want to hear your explanation. Only one of my guitars is a Sierra like in the avatar. |

Simply hold it over leg hole screw in leg.You can do this on most models even in case before you take it out. This saves on the back not having to be switching it to the floor to see if what you changed
is working.I recently rebuilt a pro 3,and had all the pulls set before it ever hit the floor on both necks and in tune.If you work on your guitar you will like these stands.
They won,t work on a Sierra.Their are four total.

What a great invention! Stand the guitar on its legs with the stand attached and you can put a glass top over it and use it for a side table.
I think I need a set of these.

I just got back into town today and my set was waiting for me. Set them right up on my Legrande in a couple of minutes, and they work exactly as advertised.
I can flip the steel and play it with them on - it raises everything up fractionally, but there's certainly no problem playing the guitar enough to check changes in pedal and lever action, and so on.
Good show, Bob. This is a great idea. |

Whoa, talk about timing. I just got my new GFI(new to me) and spent all evening Friday and part of Saturday getting it all set up the way I wanted. If I would've had that thing my wife wouldn't have heard so much cussing. |

I just got mine - a quality product at a good price, delivered fast, what more could you ask for? This is like, cowboy genius or something. Mr. Cox claims to have another invention in the wings - uh oh, there goes the milk money....
(I'm planning to train some hamsters to lie on their backs underneath the steel and scrabble at the strings with their little feet. I'll hire a Russian gymnast in a striped leotard to wiggle the levers and pedals around, and get an enormous grant from the N.E.A. to put on a concert of "Art Music" at Carnegie Hall. Hi-ho, there's more than one genius in the nutbar....) |

Speaking of GFI.....when I got my stands I discovered that the holes that the legs go through before screwing into the guitar, are 1/2" for the standard steel guitar leg threads. The GFI threads are 5/8". I will have to drill out the holes to use the stands on my GFI. Otherwise I think they're great. I'm sure if you let Bob know that you have a GFI, he could probably drill the holes to 5/8" for you. |

I just used a set of these to set up my push-pull Emmons. It made it very easy to work on and not worry about scratching the tuners or gouging the changer. Sounding the strings is a little tricky but is a LOT easier than lifting the guitar and turning it over and stuff. This is a great product and it has helped inspire me to fix things that have been wrong with my guitar for years but I let go because I was too darned lazy to turn the guitar over and over.
Truly a great product, great price and quick delivery. Thanks! |

Hey Bob, got 'em in the mail today, looks like they will do just what they are supposed to; wish I had of had them when I did the change over from Univ 12 to Ext E9 ! Still not done experimenting yet, tho, so will sure come in handy. _________________ Mullen Lacquer SD 10, 3 & 5; Mullen Mica S 10 1/2 pad, 3 & 5; BJS Bars; LTD400, Nashville 112, DD-3, RV-3, Hilton VP . -- Gold Tone PBS sq neck; Wechter Scheerhorn sq neck. -- "Experience is the thing you have left when everything else is gone." -anon.- |

I again congratulate you on this idea, Bob.
One really stupid question: does anyone have a good suggestion on how to put these on the guitar? Am I missing a simple trick for suspending the steel while screwing in the legs? |

Jon - prop it up on one end plate, leaning on it's legs, then do the other end the same way - I do it on a bed but a sofa or deep chair would do too. Some older steels have pedal tuner nuts that poke out, I think? |

The easiest way is set guitar in case on pac a seat, put stands on during a normal set up. then carefully set on table and spin stands to front and back and re-snug.If you have a seat with a back and your case won,t sit well on it ,place on a normal chair and do the same. |
