Looks like it's going to be a great weekend.

As always, the jam will take place at EL ARCO IRIS Mexican restaurant, 5684 York Blvd., in the Highland Park section of Los Angeles. Everybody is invited to attend and watch and listen and meet all the players.

Also as always, attendance is free for both players and observers.

We set up around 10 AM, start playing around 11, and go till somewhere around 5 PM, with a lunch break. Of course, some people leave early.

This year, we will place our lunch orders around 12: 30, but continue playing till the food is ready before going to the dining room, instead of wasting a half hour, waiting for our food at the tables, as we've done in the past.

If you're coming from Bakersfield, perhaps you can bring Larry Petrie and/or Norm Hamlett to join you.

As of today, we have 7 people signed up to play on Saturday, and have 3 open slots left.

Sunday is still pretty wide open with 2 sign-ups and 8 open slots.

Ron, I just asked Leo Eiffert how to get in touch with you so I could invite you to attend.

I'm looking forward to seeing and picking with you again.

If we want to just come and listen, do we need to register?

No, just come by. And please feel free to invite friends to drive up with you. Everybody is invited to come by and listen and meet all the players and other observers. It's as much about seeing old friends making new ones, as it is about the music.

And it's free. Nobody pays (except the restaurant for our food) and nobody gets paid (except the restaurant.) We do this for the sheer joy of schmoozing and making music together.

Everybody who is close enough, come on by and watch us all make fools of ourselves.

Instead of the personal flea-market mentioned previously in this space, I'll beb ringing an extreme bit of the luthier's (Rich Mermer, mermerguitars.com , Sebastian FL) craft for show-and-tell, space permitting:
