Thanks for posting, Norman. I've heard of Patti. Been wanting to hear her. Could only find one little clip from a jam session. This was great!! And her singing wasn't half bad either. _________________ Amor vincit omnia |

That was great Patti. What are your tunings?
Also, I think I may have met you years ago at a recording studio in Berkeley. I was recording with vocalist Tina Marzell and her sister stopped by with her friend steel player from Santa Cruz. Not sure how many lady steelers are in Santa Cruz.

Dave-
That was me with Tina's twin Marilyn.
I mostly use Ay tuning sometimes C#min. 7th
for tunes like Hula Blues |

Patti, I'd never heard of you and I thought this thread was about the Andrews Sisters but I'm happy it's not. I love what you do and how you play and if you get a fan club going, count me in! Very impressive technique, tone, stage presence, vocals and the whole package.....great stuff!!...JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

Small world!
And speaking of fan club, the last time I played Don Quixotes in Felton, two very nice ladies from the Patti Maxine fan club came up after the show and talked to me and mentioned that they just heard you perform and how wonderful your playing is, and how much they enjoy it! Seriously!
