Does anyone have information on a steeler named Freeman Cowgar? He used to own Cowgar's Music in Lincoln Park, Michigan. I took lessons there in 1971-72 and I believe Paul Franklin was hanging out there at that time as well.

Freeman started USA Guitars and manufactured a student model called the Lil' Buddy in Hillman, MI. He also had put together a couple of steel guitar method books. That's all I know, I was just curious whatever happened to him.

Thanks, Brad. Geez, I had no idea of the depth of this man. When I knew him he ran a great music shop with a wide assortment of steels, and he even had a Sho-Bro. I really liked his brother Kenny, he was also a great guy. I sold him my Sho-Bud volume pedal years later.

Again, thanks for bringing me up to speed.
